I cannot say enough good things! We recently lost two vehicles in Hurricane Irma, and so between that and the general gloom and uncertainty of being displaced, stress was at an all time high, and honestly my expectations were not. The folks at the local Enterprise however ended up being a refreshing change.
I rented from the Key West location and the service was superb . Yami was very efficient and friendly. Because of her I'll be back to rent from this location and will be recommending my friends.
Further, the Reps were friendly and welcoming when we walked in (both when we picked up and when we dropped off), and took time for little things like general conversation, asking about how we did in the recent hurricane, etc. I know that's a small thing but when you're in the middle of a stressful situation, it's nice to not just be treated like a number. Also, anytime we spoke to someone by phone, again they were friendly, courteous, and did not speak like robots. That consistency between in-person service and phone-customer-service is often hard to get. Another rental company I used recently was in stark contrast, where it always seemed the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing...you'd call in to the 800 number and they would say one thing, and then you go to the counter and get a totally different answer, and their systems did not communicate so it always felt like I was having to repeat myself 100 times...so when we got to Enterprise and found everything running like a well-oiled machine, it was a welcome change!
Car only had 1/4 tank of gas at pick-up. I was told to return with same amount. Whatever happened to picking up full and returning full ? I put $15 in gas and only drove 20 miles. Returned with a half tank. I think Enterprise made out on this deal !!
I don't normally put any thought into which company I rent cars from - normally it's a quick online search sorted by daily rate, and whoever is the cheapest for the type of car I want, that's the one I book with. I will DEFINITELY be narrowing future searches by rental company, and Enterprise is definitely at the top of that list now!
The employees are very nice at the Key West Enterprise office however they are constantly battling for car rental inventory and at times have no cars available. The cars are typically very clean and with low mileage.
All other related services were fine. Lesson learned, that I will not use Enterprise in Key West again. Will use car rental company that is actually at the airport.
Had an early flight on Friday. The Enterprise office didn't open until 7:00 so I was instructed to leave car in airport parking lot with keys under mat. Told NOT to lock vehicle. Apparently car wasn't picked up until late Sunday. Not an ideal situation.
No issues for the most part. Main problem is that they are OFF AIRPORT. Upon arrival at airport, the courtesy phone process wasn't working, they were not answering the phone and kept getting Verizon canned message. Note that they close at 6pm, and this was at 5:15pm. No other help was available, not even the main Enterprise number. Not sure how but finally after close to 30 minutes a shuttle did arrive and took us to the offiste location. This clearly was a problem.
When we arrived, our car wasn't there yet, but instead of making us wait, they swapped us out with a better vehicle. When we had to extend past our insurance rental period, the process was super smooth. When we weren't sure exactly which day we would need to bring the car back, the reply was a "no problem, we will put Friday (a few days more than when we said we might need it) so that you don't have to call in every day to extend it, and if you decide to bring it back before then, you only pay for the days you end up using". Also, unlike other rental car companies that charge exhorbitant fees for processing toll-by-plate and fuel, Enterprise was realistic and reasonable. I have a Sunpass but had forgotten it. I expected when I called in to tell them, that I would get all the negative-Nancy rules and red tape and be informed of the high fees a I was going to have to pay as a result. Instead, they were like "no problem! We just bill you for the actual tolls you go through, and a small fee (I think it was like less than $5) to process them. Other companies I've used charged $14.95 PER TOLL (which if you're on the turnpike and go through multiple tolls, easily racks up to the most ridiculous costs!). So there again I was like "wow! They actually give a damn about giving their customers a reason to do business with them again!"
