Took my Ford Ranger to Chill Factor to have an AC compressor installed. My options were an after market (made in China) for $179 or a Motocraft for $525. I prefer to buy American if I can and was able to locate a Four Seasons (made in USA) for $275. They agreed to install it but despite the instructions on the box they didn't use the proper oil, did not flush the system and did not change the orifice tube. A couple days after having it installed it started rattling like a can of of spray paint. I took it to John and the first thing he said to me was "This is the guy that had to have a Motocraft Compressor". I'm wondering how this became my fault. Despite it not being installed according to the instructions, Four Seasons offered to replace the compressor. Johns attitude is that he's always used castor oil without any problems and as long as it was working, he's not going to so anything about it. I'm trying to sell my truck and it's seriously devalued with this noisy AC compressor. I wouldn't reccomend Chill Factor. This guys a complete Jerk.

I went to Chill Factor because I thought the A/C wasn't working right in my 2006 Honda CR-V -- after a short talk and driving around the block and check on pressure/freon levels, they couldn't find anything wrong --- which is fine, I drive short distances in general and it's a lot to ask of the AC to majorly cool off the whole car instantly. Totally positive experience, the staff wouldn't let me pay for their time, and I walked out knowing the AC was working as well as it can. Highly recommend.
Chill Factor is awesome. I am in the military so I am used to getting ripped off but these guys help the military. I have went to them around 4 times with different problems or just regular oil changes. Going to be name brand compaines, I was used to waiting a day or two to get my vehicle back and these guys get it back to you in a hour or two. They always try and find the best price for you as well. If you are using anyone else to work on your cars your are dumb.
