- A couple people on night staff have a very bad attitude
- Pool closes at 9 at an adult only resort. Midnight is a bit more reasonable (the night clerk can use discretion to close it earlier if people are making too much noise)
- First day no hot water, last 3 days no cold water. Not good.
- The hotel is clean, centrally located, and you can't really beat $65 a night for a room in Key West
This is an amazing place to stay. Great prices, quality rooms, beautiful grounds, great location. I like the hostel style sleeping arrangements we had in our private room, great for our group of 3! Pools were warm enough to enjoy, but cool enough to be refreshing, and were well kept. My only complaint is the bedspread was a little stained and at one point, our water was shut off, though it was fixed in minutes.
Overall, it's a nice place to stay, but not being able to cool off when it's still 90° at 11 pm puts a real damper on it.
Good:
- Free Starbucks

Had a decent experience here, but wasn't perfect.
Needs improvement:
It's a hostel, but each room has its own bathroom. Pools are nice and well maintained. Breakfast is minimalistic, but adequate. Location is very convenient, considering the layout of the city. We were not allowed to play our music, however, because it wasn't compatible with the "vibe" they wanted to promote. Definitely coded language that speaks to the staff's attitude. Still, all in all, a decent experience.
- Morning and afternoon staff great (night staff not so much)
- Some very strange characters stayed here, most of them for just a night. (Willing to give a pass on this as it was probably FEMA/Hurricane Irma related)
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around...
- Need a microwave/fridge and a small general kitchen area for guests. I can't think of a more basic request than this. It's unsettling that we have to ask the front desk to heat up our food in a back kitchen completely out of our site.
NYAH has a lot to offer. The beds are comfortable, and the property is clean. There a lot of extras such as free Starbucks coffee, happy hour cocktails, and Continental breakfast. The multiple pools (including one salt water pool) and hot tubs allow for enjoyment without crowding. However, the rooms are a bit cramped and the air conditioning is seriously underpowered. The biggest disappointment for our visit was the fact the pools close at 9pm. This is technically an adults only hotel, and if you happen to be in the pool past 9, the security will promptly and sternly eject you from the pool. It's kind of ridiculous.
- Beds were very comfortable
I'd consider staying again, but quite a few things went awry during such a short stay.
- Free breakfast
