Upside: Great location next to Mallory Square. Watch sunsets from the Margarita Resort roof top bar. The room is well appointed. Beds comfortable. Staff friendly. The downside: The pool is short chairs per the amount of guests. Hence, for two days my husband and I shared one chair and the kids had no chairs. The pool waitress is barely seen as she is spread too thin so forget about relaxing in your chair to order food and drinks poolside. Yes, placing my order at the bar is doable but do I want to wait in line to place an order then come back to pick it up? No. Get those two problems resolved and Margaritaville Resort would be perfect!
I didn't stay at the hotel this visit. I will on my next trip. We had drinks and appetizers at the outside bar before the sunset celebration. A manager, John Lucus(who is from Milwaukee like us) was fun, friendly, accommodating and made us feel welcome and comfortable. A truly fun experience. We will be back
Wifi is terrible but amenities are good. Room was not ready at check in time and had to wait an extra 2 hours.
Otherwise, this hotel is reasonably priced for location and less expensive than other hotels in area. And its location is perfect. Can walk to all the attractions. No need for a car. We will definitely continue to stay with Margaritaville Resort.
Great location. Good spot to watch sunsets, and right by the cruise pier. There are plenty of restaurants around, and a market nearby on weekends. Check out the Cat trick show which happens in the evening!
Great location for seeing Key West attractions. Hotel is very clean, very comfortable beds, and one of the nicest rooms I enjoyed staying in. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was the $29.00 room charge added for slippers, robe and other minor things that should have included with a room that cost $325.00 per day.
We have been staying at this hotel each year for 15+ years. We love this resort. Everyone on staff is awesome, as well as the accommodations. Never had a bad stay. Only 2 negatives worth mentioning, one fixable and one not so fixable. 1. Cruise ships dock in front of hotel and often block view of water all day, even sunsets. So you are wasting your money for a water view. But hotel owners make more money off the cruise ship docking fees than they do off the hotel, so this is not fixable. 2. Housekeeping staff can be quite noisy during the day. Letting doors slam over and over as they go in and out of the rooms with the metal security bar keeping the door from closing. Shakes entire wall. Sounds like someone dropped a suitcase on the floor. Should use small bean bags to keep doors from closing and locking while cleaning.
