Have been to several Super Boat races and this year we decided to go for the VIP tent at Cocoa Beach, FL 2016. What a rip-off this is. First the shaded seating is extremely limited. There was a tent with a banquet table and approximately 6 chairs under the tent. In front of the tent there were approximately 5 banquet tables and one umbrella at one end of the table. The allowed shading for 2 people max. Closer to the ocean were several beach chairs. Some had umbrellas but most do not. If you are trying to sit in the shade and view the race…forget it. You will not see anything. If you leave your seat to see the race your seat is gone. People who were not in the VIP area had much better viewing and most had better shade. Additionally, there were several people who just walked into the VIP area from the beach without arm band….. and to think I paid for arm bands. There was a TV under the tent but there was a high top standing only table directly in front of the TV. So viewing was always around someone’s head. At some point the table was moved for better viewing of the TV. This is far from any kind of VIP Tent. I was expecting a shading viewing area to watch the race….didn’t happen. We left after the first race and went home. If I go back trust me it will not be in the VIP area…there are much better viewing areas
