No imagination or sense of customer service. We had a delightful week in Key West and great service from so many places all around town until we came to Paradise Porters. The woman at the counter was rude and wanted to charge us full price to hold our bags for half an hour before the ferry departure.
The service to the hotel was fine. The woman at the counter was friendly and helpful and luggage arrived promptly. However, when we requested an afternoon pickup the Porter arrived at 11:00, called and yelled at us for not having our luggage ready. When they picked up the luggage one of the shoulder straps was torn from a brand new backpack. The Porter gave a subtle smile when it was pointed out to him. Disappointed in that portion of the experience.
I would of given this company no stars but if I did then I wouldn't be able to submit a comment and I feel people need to know this. Worst company I have ever dealt with ! Specifically with some guy named "Joey" if that was even his real name . He was the rudest , obnoxious, arrogant, nasty old man I have ever dealt with. And they say New Yorkers have attitudes! One word of advice people make sure you get a receipt or else you might be taking a chance of someone pocketing your money!
Came in on the key west express last Wednesday. Saw them handing out cards and saying don't drag your bag. Was told it was $10 a bag they take them to your hotel and pick them up and bring them back on your departure day. Was rough waters coming in so I was not feeling the best. Decided to take them up on this. Paid the money and was told to call the morning of return with a baggage ticket number from my hotels Bellman, and they would take care of it. The next day I did just that, we arrived that evening to board the boat back. Gave the lady my ticket. She said that will be $10. I smiles and said I paid at drop off. She looked at me and snarled "yeah. So. Now you pay to pick up" I told her I was not told this but fine I'll pay as there is no sense in arguing with a cranky old lady. After that she did still persist to in a very snotty time say that no one would have ever told me that. Would I still have done it knowing it was $20 round trip, yes. But they do kinda lead you on/bait and switch you. And that b***h at the desk needs to check her attitude.
Interaction with staff could have been more pleasurable.
